Diablo Immortal will release on June 2 and it will launch on PC alongside Android and iOS devices.
The PC version of the game launching in June will be an open beta test yet will include all game content and features, besides that progress achieved in it will carried over into the final version of the game.
Diablo Immortalwill feature a similar structure to the previous Diablo games. New game will include a main story quest that moves through eight different zones.
We will be able to experience six character classes, including classes well known for Diablo genre players like Barbarian, Wizard, and Necromancer. In addition to that it's important to mention that the legendary loot will be back which will give players plenty of prestigious loot to grind for.
Game developer emphasized that this is very much a mobile-first game. That means the entire experience has been developed with mobile users in mind, rather than traditional PC players. That means faster-paced gameplay and shorter dungeons that can be completed in small bursts of playtime, to suit mobile audiences that tend to not play in long gaming sessions.
The PC and mobile versions will be identical, offering exactly the same content and experience.
PC ANNOUNCEMENT TRAILER
A cinematic and gameplay trailer was released online when Diablo Immortal received its final, official release date. The trailer also confirmed the game will be launching on PC, showing off lots of footage of the port so make sure to check it out!
IS DIABLO IMMORTAL CROSSPLAY?
Yes it is and not only did the developer recently announce a release date, but they also revealed that the title is cross-play between mobile and PC devices. This means you can play from the comfort of your own home, or take the dungeons on the go using your mobile.
DIABLO IMMORTAL STORY & LOCATIONS
Diablo Immortal provides a brand new story that takes place between Diablo II and III, and sees you will be trying to prevent Diablo’s minions from resurrecting him.
You’ll visit many recognisable locations during your adventure in the world of Sanctuary, which are split up into explorable regions, dungeons full of loot, and social hubs like:
LIBRARY OF ZOLTUN KULLE
TOM OF FAHIR
DIABLO IMMORTAL GAMEPLAY EXPERIENCE SO FAR
Accordingly to people who had a chance of experiencing few hours of the gameplay they did enjoy it. They did found that "a lot of the Diablo experience has been adeptly preserved in the mobile game" and felt that "the game adheres to more of the arcade gameplay of Diablo 3 rather than the more grounded hack-and-slash combat of Diablo 2."
It may be primarily a mobile game but, for the most part, this is going to be the same Diablo you already know and love, albeit with controls designed to make the most out of a phone touchscreen rather than a mouse or controller. Story beats will be dished out via non-playable characters, with additional storylines landing through updates to the game.
Diablo Immortal will introduce new abilities not yet seen in a Diablo game so far. While six familiar classes will be available (Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, Crusader and Wizard – with the Witch Doctor notably absent at this stage), they’ll be able to cooperate together in new ways.
Abilities will be able to be combined to make cross-class cooperative play more exciting. A Wizard for instance will be able to freeze a foe with ice crystals before firing a beam called the Ray of Frost into the crystal. When used individually, the Ray of Frost and ice crystals can only take down one enemy, but if the ray is fired at the crystal, it fragments the beam so it can hit multiple enemies.
Players will be able to use Ultimate Abilities (charged through repeated basic attacks) and Legendary items in order to enhance their powers and unleash well-timed devastating attacks that could give them the edge in a difficult battle.
To sum this up it seems like Diablo Immortal will have everything you know and love about Diablo, but will still feel fresh to some extent. You’ll fight enemies, level up to acquire new skills while dearly wishing that the next felled foe will drop a more powerful weapon, armor piece or accessory so you can progress with your character equipment.
